What is rosetta stone

Wixom Christian School is now contracted with Rosetta Stone for use of their full-service online language courses. Students will have their choice of 28 languages in which to receive instruction. All grading will be managed through Rosetta Stone and WCS. The student may log on and have fun. Access can be obtained at home as well as at school providing parents the opportunity to monitor their child's success. Students will have a designated time at school for language study.

Language costs

The cost is $200 per language per level (a student may take as little as a semester or as much as a year and a half). Most of the 28 languages have 2 levels. Some courses such as Spanish can have three or more.

Students may be enrolled in a course at any time. Demo CD's are available in for temporary use in the school office.

Credited work

Students in the 9th - 12th grades will receive high school credit for their work (colleges are recommending 2 years of foreign language minimum).
